Customer groups on these cards are Medusa's native Customer Groups + Price Lists. The B2B zone below shows the same engine in its wholesale flavour.
Test it in the B2B zoneThis is not a slide, everything below works: enter a tax ID, switch the pricing group, paste an order, negotiate a discount and collect points. Numbers are illustrative, mechanics as in production.
The contractor enters a tax ID, we pull company data from the GUS registry, and the account waits for a sales rep's approval. Once approved it gets a price group. Type any 10-digit number:
Same product cards, different prices. Switch the group and watch the net column (multipliers illustrative for the demo):
| Product | Retail price | Net: Retail |
|---|---|---|
| 549 zł | 549 zł | |
| 289 zł | 289 zł | |
| 79 zł | 79 zł | |
| 59 zł | 59 zł |
Paste a list from Excel in "SKU x qty" format or click the pluses. Prices come from the Retail group price list.

How it works under the hood: customer groups and price lists are native Medusa mechanisms, negotiations and loyalty are KODA modules. Everything lives on the same product cards as the retail store: one domain, two price modes.
Click the platform you're weighing. The short version here, the full dimension-by-dimension breakdown on its own page.
Shopify closed SaaS (subscription + transaction fees)
Shopify rents you a store that will never be yours: you pay a subscription and a cut of every sale for logic you can't change or take with you. Medusa + KODA Plus gives you the whole codebase, zero revenue share and Polish B2B logic built into the backend instead of bolted on with paid apps.
PrestaShop open-source PHP (self-hosted, free core, paid modules)
PrestaShop gave Polish e-commerce a free start, but it grows by bolting paid marketplace modules onto a core that is only now finishing its move from legacy to Symfony. Medusa + KODA Plus is a modern headless backend where B2B logic is written as your own modules in the repo, with no per-feature purchases and no override mess.
WordPress open-source CMS + WooCommerce (a store via plugins)
WordPress is a great CMS for content, but you only get a store through a layer of plugins bolted onto a blogging engine. Medusa is a backend built from scratch for commerce, so B2B, performance and scale live in the architecture, not in yet another plugin someone has to maintain.
IdoSell closed SaaS (subscription that grows with your revenue)
IdoSell starts great and has the best ready-made integrations in Poland, but you pay a subscription that grows with your turnover for a store whose code you never get; Medusa + KODA Plus gives you the whole codebase, a flat running cost independent of sales, and any B2B logic without asking the vendor for permission.
WooCommerce open-source WordPress plugin (PHP/MySQL monolith + paid extensions)
WooCommerce starts fast but grows by gluing more paid plugins onto the WordPress monolith, which gets slow, expensive and brittle at scale and for serious B2B. Medusa gives a headless TypeScript backend where B2B logic is written as native modules, so the front stays fast, costs stay predictable and the client owns all the code.

Stack, costs, B2B, AI in the store and implementation. Short, concrete answers.
All the code (Astro storefront + Medusa v2 backend) is yours. Host it wherever you like (Cloudflare, AWS, your own VPS). No monthly module fees. Change any feature without waiting for vendor support.
You pay for actual hosting (Cloudflare + Railway, roughly tens to a few hundred zloty per month) and the payment gateway fee. Zero revenue share on our side. The bigger your turnover, the bigger your cost advantage over SaaS.
Register your company with its tax ID. Once approved you get the B2B Standard or Premium tier and see your prices right after logging in, on the same product cards.
